Join the #VTeamLife.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>What you'll be doing…</h2><ul><li><p><span>Serving as Verizon and Frontier’s dedicated Southern California Tribal Liaison, responsible for full-time engagement with tribal governments located within Verizon’s and Frontier’s service territories (at least 50% travel) or where either company has a physical presence.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Building and maintaining trusted relationships with tribal governments, serving as the primary point of contact for service coordination, issue resolution, and information sharing.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinating closely with operational teams across plant maintenance, wire center operations, engineering, customer service, and field teams to address service and infrastructure matters impacting tribal communities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Facilitating collaboration with executive leadership to escalate service issues, operational concerns, and infrastructure needs affecting tribal governments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working across teams to support plant maintenance activities, service restoration, infrastructure reliability, and customer service responsiveness in tribal communities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Providing rapid response and coordination for Out-of-Service (OOS) incidents, ensuring timely communication and resolution for impacted tribes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Serving as the primary point of contact for tribal governments, ensuring direct access via phone and email, and providing timely responses to their questions, concerns, and service issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Facilitating open and transparent communication between Verizon, Frontier, and tribal governments on network operations, maintenance, and infrastructure.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Escalating complex service, policy, or infrastructure issues to senior leadership for prompt resolution.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><h2>What we're looking for…</h2><p></p><p>You'll need to have:</p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated experience in tribal affairs, government relations, public policy, or community advocacy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with telecommunications, broadband, cable TV, and utilities policies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated skills in <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">relationship-building,</span> consensus building, and external advocacy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working with all levels of management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Willingness to travel extensively within Southern California territory in personally owned vehicle.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work both during normal business hours, as well as evenings and weekends should the circumstances require availability. </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>Even better if you have one or more of the following:</p><ul><li><p><span>Strong ties to or membership in a tribal community, bringing firsthand understanding of tribal needs and concerns. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Public policy, community engagement, or advocacy experience on behalf of a technology, communications, or public utilities business/industry.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Broad knowledge of Verizon and/or Frontier operations and business functions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Self-starter and evidence of intellectual curiosity.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong verbal and written communications skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities in a highly regulated environment.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.</p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h2>Where you’ll be working</h2></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>In this remote role, you'll work from home with occasional in-person trainings and meetings.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Scheduled Weekly Hours</h2>40<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Equal Employment Opportunity<b> </b></h2><p style="text-align:left">Verizon is an equal opportunity employer.
