WHO YOU ARE
Lockheed Martin's Autonomy, Intelligence & Maritime Solutions (AIMS) market segment is seeking an expert-level Contracts Management professional (Staff - Level 4) to strategically lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle for high-impact classified programs. This role is based in Riviera Beach, FL and serves as a senior advisor and external spokesperson for contract policy, risk management, and acquisition strategy across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Capture & Proposal Leadership: Define and shape capture strategies for multi-year, high-value contracts; innovate proposal approaches that align with emerging technology roadmaps and corporate objectives.

2. Enterprise-Wide Contract Governance: Design, refine, and disseminate new contractual concepts, techniques, and standards; act as the primary authority on FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory frameworks for the Business Area.

3. Senior Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the trusted consultant to senior program leadership, senior government customers, and external industry partners; represent Lockheed Martin at senior-level negotiations, industry forums, and executive level briefings.

4. Innovative Problem Solving: Lead resolution of complex, high-risk contractual issues requiring ingenuity and cross-functional collaboration; develop sustainable solutions that protect and optimize large-scale resource investments.

5. Policy Development & Thought Leadership: Author and champion best-practice policies, training curricula, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that elevate contract management capabilities organization-wide.

6. Risk & Impact Management: Forecast long-term implications of contractual decisions; implement risk-mitigation strategies that safeguard multi-million-dollar assets and mission-critical outcomes.

7. Audit Oversight & Continuous Improvement: Direct internal and external audit programs; synthesize findings into actionable improvements and ensure compliance with all statutory and internal controls.

8. Mentorship & Talent Development - Coach and develop senior and junior contract professionals; lead a community of practice that cultivates emerging authorities within the function.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of progressive contract management experience on defense programs or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience.

2. Recognized subject-matter expert in DoD acquisition, contract law, and compliance, with a demonstrated record of influencing organization-wide policy.

3. Proven ability to lead complex, multi-phase negotiations and to architect innovative contractual solutions that align with strategic business goals.

4. Demonstrated expertise influencing senior leadership and external customers.

5. Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Desired skills

1. 8+ years of contract management experience on classified programs; experience shaping enterprise-wide contract strategies.

2. Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, CAS, and other regulatory regimes; track record of developing new compliance methodologies.

3. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on long-term risk mitigation and value creation.

4. Exceptional written and oral communication; adept at translating complex contractual language for senior executives and external stakeholders.

5. Visionary leadership style with a commitment to fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $109,200 - $189,290. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
