Location Address: 1000 S. 2nd Street Job Description: The Starbucks Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting the execution of the Starbucks licensed store program across the entire Weis Markets chain. This role provides subject matter expertise, operational leadership, and strategic direction to ensure that each Starbucks location consistently delivers the Starbucks Experience while meeting Weis Markets financial, operational, and brand standards. The Starbucks Specialist partners closely with store leadership, field operations, merchandising, and Starbucks corporate partners to drive sales growth, operational excellence, training compliance, and brand integrity. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. This position has multi-unit responsibility, and the final placement location will be determined based on the selected candidate's residence location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: • Make regularly scheduled visits to all Starbucks licensed store locations to assess compliance with Starbucks and Weis Markets operational standards, policies, and procedures. • Serve as the primary Weis Markets subject matter expert and point of contact for Starbucks licensed store operations, reporting directly to Operations. • Collaborate with Starbucks leadership and support teams to ensure alignment on brand standards, promotions, training, and operational initiatives. • Support store leadership and Starbucks Store Leads in executing Starbucks operational programs, including beverage and food quality, customer experience, cleanliness, and speed of service. • Verify execution of Starbucks national promotions, seasonal launches, and marketing initiatives, ensuring all required signage, assets, and merchandising standards are properly implemented. • Evaluate financial performance of Starbucks locations with a focus on sales growth, labor efficiency, inventory management, waste control, and profitability. Provide guidance and corrective action plans as needed. • Support staffing and scheduling practices by reviewing labor models, staffing levels, and coverage to ensure alignment with transaction volume and Starbucks expectations. • Ensure all Starbucks associates complete required Starbucks training, certifications, and recertifications in accordance with licensed store requirements. • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to Starbucks Store Leads and store management teams to improve operational consistency and leadership capability. • Support new Starbucks store openings, remodels, and renovations by coordinating with internal teams and Starbucks partners on training, readiness, and operational execution. • Oversee ordering and inventory processes, including use of Starbucks Market and consolidated distribution systems, to ensure proper in-stock conditions and inventory accuracy. • Monitor compliance with Starbucks systems including Starbucks Connect POS, Mobile Order & Pay, Rewards, StoreLink communications, and customer experience surveys. • Act as a liaison between store operations, merchandising, IT, facilities, and Starbucks partners to resolve operational issues and implement improvements. • Evaluate competitive practices and market trends related to coffee, beverages, and café operations, providing insights and recommendations to leadership. • Lead or participate in special projects related to Starbucks growth, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct store level supervisory responsibility but is responsible for training, mentoring, and influencing Starbucks Store Leads, department managers, and store leadership across the chain. May provide input into performance evaluations, staffing decisions, and development planning. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Hospitality, Food Service, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in retail operations, food service, café operations, or store leadership roles required.
